My experience practicing criminal law for more than a decade qualifies me for the position of St. Croix County District Attorney.  I represent clients in misdemeanor and felony cases, including the most serious felonies.  I represent both adults and juveniles.  I manage my full-time caseload efficiently, effectively, and ethically.  I also have participated in alternative courts and on criminal justice collaborating councils.  I have trained and mentored other attorneys.

The ability to work with others is an important and necessary skill for a district attorney to ensure that justice is served fairly and efficiently by all.  By being a good listener and communicator, I have created and maintained working relationships with many other professionals: other defense attorneys, judges, prosecutors, probation agents, law enforcement, clerks and other court staff, and social workers.   I treat them with respect and try to learn all that I can from them.

I am hardworking, resourceful, self-aware, and fiscally responsible.  These qualities are imperative for a district attorney in these days of shrinking budgets, drug and alcohol addiction, and mental health concerns.  Although I have confidence in what I know, I’m not afraid to ask for advice.  I developed a good work ethic from my parents, common sense, and always try my best.  I enjoy seeking out new and innovative ways to do things.

I believe in leading by example and am not afraid to make hard decisions.  I have been a supervisor at numerous jobs that I have held.  I did not ask people to do something I would not have done myself.  I put in long hours and made myself available to assist co-workers.

I have demonstrated a commitment to St. Croix County.  I grew up here and have chosen to raise my own family here.  I have lived, worked, played, and volunteered with the citizens of this county for over 4 decades.  I look forward to serving you in an additional capacity as your district attorney.  Please vote for me in the primary election on August 9 and again in the general election on November 8, 2016.
